Plymouth Emergency Management

Plymouth Emergency Management

Plymouth emergency management is responsible for the towns Local Emergency Management planning and response in the event of severe weather, flooding, extended power outages and other emergencies.   The emergency management team is made up of the Emergency Management Director, Fire Chief, Head of EMS, a Select Board member and the Highway Foreman for the town.  If the team is aware of a significant risk that could impact the town, the emergency management team meets in advance of the event to discuss mitigation and shelter needs.  The team does its best to anticipate emergencies but, things like the weather are unpredictable and sometimes we are caught off guard.  When that happens, we rely on our generic planning and preparedness and do our best to respond.
